Sep. 18th, 2012 07:34 amWhen not interrogating other new arrivals and trolling the religious, Garak has been settling into the Opera House and exploring some. He's been making "friends" in the market, and he's been to visit the Temple of Atia, though he hasn't gone in just yet.
He's also testing the limits of his collar. He very briefly tried to get it off with tools, but it didn't work and he honestly didn't expect it to. He'd been informed about the two week rule, and now he's testing to see if it's true. Oh, he'll have sex before dying -- he's too contrary to die and it's not like it'd do him much good anyway -- but he's curious to see if his Cardassian biology alters the timeline any and what tricks he can use to extend it. Since Cardassians have a higher pain tolerance than humans, the pain of the collar isn't bothering him much, but it's definitely there, and the implant isn't doing anything about it. He had suspected he'd become addicted, but this is proof.
Not that he's going to do anything about it. It would make him vulnerable, and he's loathe to reveal any secrets, even if they're killing him. Besides, he may be addicted but it's not a problem.
